How toenter

Entries for the inaugural 2027 season open in January. Here is exactly how it works, what it costs, and what you'll need to have ready.

  1. 1

    Choose your categories

Pick any sections you'd like to compete in. There's no limit — many entrants entered several across different categories.

  2. 2

    Complete your entry

Register online with your age division, chosen pieces and your teacher or studio details. Entry fees are paid per section.

  3. 3

    Record and upload

Record your performance in one unedited take — or photograph your artwork — and upload it here. It goes straight to our media host, and a video resumes if your connection drops.

  4. 4

    Receive your adjudication

Every entrant receives a written adjudication, a certificate and a mark. Top performers are invited to the National Final.

Entry fees

Fees are charged per section entered, in US dollars.

Solo section (per section entered)
$25
Duet / duo section

Small ensemble (3–8 performers)
$45
Large group / choir (9+ performers)
$75
One act play (per production)

Indicative pricing for the inaugural season, confirmed when the syllabus is published. Studio and school bulk entries are invoiced together — contact the USA team for a studio entry sheet. Bursary places are available on request for entrants for whom the fee is a barrier.

Video submission requirements

Entering online? Your recording needs to meet these standards so the adjudicator hears what you actually do.

  • One continuous take, unedited, with no cuts or splices.
  • Recorded within three months of your submission date.
  • Performer visible head-to-toe for dance, and clearly framed for all other categories.
  • Natural audio only — no reverb, pitch correction or post-production.
  • Live or pre-recorded backing accompaniment both accepted.
  • Uploaded as an unlisted link, viewed only by your adjudicator.
